Overview:
Automotive sensors must accurately and reliably measure, monitor and control critical system data in order to maintain fuel economy and safety. But heat and humidity can create pressure differentials that create over-pressurization, or vacuum conditions, inside the sensor. Either of these can cause faulty readings or outright sensor failure, which can cascade to component or system failure.
Microvent Automotive Protective Vents are proven to reduce condensation and contaminants by:
Quickly balance the internal and external pressure of the equipment to extend the sealing life
Minimizing condensation through steam diffusion
Keep contaminants such as dust, dirt and debris out
Microvent® Automotive Protective Vents come in a variety of product forms, including screw-in vents, snap-in vents,Vent caps and adhesive vents.
Screw-In Vents
• Mechanically robust: durable molded-plastic body protects the membrane (IP69).
• Easy installation (with or without counter-nut) for automated or manual processes.
The threaded vent plug and durable O-ring enable fast, safe integration, and help keep the vent reliably secured to the housing, to provide long-term pressure equalization and protection for outdoor electronic devices in a broad range of challenging applications:

Applications for Automotive Screw-In Vents :
Humidity Sensor / Position Sensor and Actuator / Radar Sensor / Oxygen Sensor
